My Website Story

Every website has a story, this one was started several years ago to house my blog, some poetry and for access to most of my published works. I had made use of several writers' websites but when I began to publish books saw necessity of having my own personal site. I find it less distracting to post to a personal site when I must spend more time writing than other intellectual pursuits. I realized I had a gift for writing at an early age but life intervened. Raising a family and working demanded most of my time and creativity had to take a backseat. Most of the books I have published will be found here on this website.  My books are all self published with Kindle Direct Publishing and you will find them linked to Amazon. I hope you enjoy your time here and perhaps find a book you are interested in reading.

                                                                                About Me

I began scribbling as soon as my mother could trust me with a pencil or crayon. It was one of my favorite childhood pastimes. It seems I was born to write and I've been faithful to that purpose. It was almost impossible to find the time or privacy to write anything of substance for many years but even then I continued to write. I am now the author of over 150 books of varied genres. I was born in Virginia (because a Virginia hospital was closest to our home.) I grew up in North Carolina and I am grateful to have experienced the beauty and peace of mid century rural South. As an adult I have lived various places, all of them in the South. I now reside in Myrtle Beach South Carolina with my husband, Jon Michael and my Standard Poodle, Ginny. For many years I raised Standard And Toy Poodles but now I only have one pet. I have time to write and I make full use of it. I also dabble in painting which I had set aside for many years. Life truly is a gift to be thankful for. Finding who we are and loving ourselves may be the most difficult quest we will ever have but as Christ promised, “ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Never give up asking, seeking and knocking. Each of us has been given a gift or gifts. Find and practice yours to enrich your life and the lives of others.
